Giving immigration assistance for a fee is a regulated occupation. Registered migration agents hold a MARN and appear on OMARA’s public register. Since 22 March 2021 Australian lawyers holding an unrestricted practising certificate are regulated by their legal profession regulator instead, and are no longer eligible to be on the register.
